In my own eyes I picture NASA as the eyes of the Earth for many reasons. It warns us if anything might happen such as Asteroid Impacts , Blackholes, Unknown objects that can destroy Earth or cause harm to it. All im going to say about Blackholes is that not even Light can go through it , now imagine Earth going through it , if it does out Earth will be destroyed for good and their would be no life on Earth anymore. Asteroids are known for Crashing into Planets and Moons or even into each other.Asteroids have wiped out Dinosaurs which we all know . Their are estimated over 90,000 Asteroids just in our Solar System. There are also many other things that can also cause damage but we know little about them , thats the reason why NASA is here .
NASA also explores the Solar System looking for life or a place that Humans can live on and be safe. NASA is also known for landing on Mars and on our very own Moon. Man has not yet steped on Mars because they dont know what might happen to them , but a person from NASA has stated that on 2037 Man will roam Mars and by 2057 Man will be celebrating 20 years of Man on Mars . NASA is also known for taking care of Satelites which give service to phones, radios , and many other things that benefit for Earth. NASA means National Aeronautics and Space Administartion. NASA was formed on July 29 , 1958.
The Goverment has been funding billions of Dollars to NASA and they are putting it into good use in many ways. Some people argue about how they dont use it for Charities but in fact they do spend alot of it on Charities but people bearly hear about it. I also say that the United States its self can make Trillions Of Dollars or more on its own without any problem at all. The Goverment knows how important it is to have NASA so thats why they give Billions of Dollars to them. NASA has many things to do and things to watch over. Their Budget for 2007 was 16.8 million. The role of the Administrator is to lead the NASA team and manage its resources to advance the U.S.
These are the goals for NASA. Make a safer, more confident , efficient, and environmentally friendly air transportation system. Direct the identification, development, and validation of exploration systems and technologies.Exploring the Earth-Sun system, our own solar system, and the beyond. Extend the time and boundaries of human space flight to create new opportunities for exploration and discovery. NASA uses their money carefully and wisely and they allways head in the right direction. Their orginization is a positive one , they think outside the box and make the impossible possible .
A variety of products used every day, from mattresses to fishing reel lubricants, were created using the same technology and sometimes the same products that help keep NASA's space program in good progress. NASA has many diffent things in Space doing differnt things for a diffent reason. The Hubble Telescope discovers tons ofthings in the Universe every single day. From things to a place like Earth , to Galxies that look like Moths , or to things out of the ordinary. With out a doubt in my mind The Hubble Telescope is the greatest thing that has ever happend to NASA , but in the future we will be more advanced. People should be proud of what NASA has done for us instaed of saying "o why cant they spend all that money on poor people that need it" the answer is obvious . My answer is that all those poor people made a mistake on their own , its their fault that they have no place to live or no thing to eat.

Major Extinctions
In the past 600 million years there have been five major mass extinctions that on average extinguished half of all species. The largest mass extinction to have affected life on Earth was in the Permian-Triassic, which ended the Permian period 250 million years ago and killed off 90% of all species.[1] The last such mass extinction led to the demise of the dinosaurs and has been found to have coincided with a large asteroid impact; this is the Cretaceous–Tertiary extinction event. There is no solid evidence of impacts leading to the four other major mass extinctions, though a recent report from Ohio State scientists stated that they have located a 483-km diameter impact crater beneath the East Antarctic Ice Sheet which may date back about 250 million years, based on gravity measurements, which might associate it with the Permian-Triassic extinction event.

Heart Disease
NASA space technology is helping doctors diagnose and monitor treatments for hardening of the arteries in its early stages, before it causes heart attacks and strokes. Hospitals and doctors around the country are using ArterioVision software initially developed at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, Calif., along with a standardized, painless, non-invasive ultrasound examination of the carotid artery, which carries blood from the heart to the brain.
Hubble Space Telescope
The Hubble Space Telescope (HST) is a telescope in orbit around the Earth, named after astronomer Edwin Hubble. Its position outside the Earth's atmosphere provides significant advantages over ground-based telescopes — images are not blurred by the atmosphere, there is no background from light scattered by the air, and the Hubble can observe ultra-violet light that is normally absorbed by the ozone layer in observations made from Earth. Since its launch in 1990, it has become one of the most important instruments in the history of astronomy. With it, astronomers have made many observations leading to breakthroughs in astrophysics. Hubble's Ultra Deep Field has the most detailed visible light image of the most distant objects ever taken.
